The role is hybrid, requiring travel to the client office in Edinburgh a few days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Greenfield Azure and AWS environments.
- Implement best practices for modern engineering, utilizing Infrastructure as Code for automation.
- Design with a security-first approach, implementing necessary security controls.
- Collaborate with test engineering teams to ensure robust platform builds.
- Ensure quality of engineering deliverables and identify skill gaps in teams.
Key Skills:
- Proven Cloud Architecture experience with Azure and AWS.
- Strong experience with Terraform.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Azure and AWS certifications (preferred).
- Experience with MS Fabric platform and FinOps (nice to have).

Job Description We are looking for an Enterprise Architect/Engineer resource that has Azure and/or AWS experience, to support the outsourced build of both AWS and Azure (interfacing and assuring the build is delivered by a third-party vendor on behalf of the client). Location preference: Location: Hybrid - MUST be able to travel to client office in Edinburgh 2-1 days per week, or as required. (Travel expenses can be covered by client).
Tasks and Deliverables, Azure Platform Lead: Lead the design and implementation of a Greenfield Azure environment Implement best practices for modern engineering, harnessing Infrastructure as Code to allow for repeatability and automation for deployments Design in a security-first manner, implementing security controls to satisfy our security requirements Working with test engineering teams to ensure the platform build is robust and fit for purpose Strong leadership and communication skills, working with technology leadership members Ensure the quality of engineering deliverables and identify skill sets and resource gaps in building teams, security-first Additional Experience (nice to have): MS Fabric platform with associated data and analytic technologies Previous experience building a Greenfield environment, along with Azure certifications Experience working with material outsourcers
