Cloud Architect

Summary: The Azure Architect role involves supporting a transformation programme with a strong emphasis on security across cloud platforms and integrations. The position requires designing secure Azure environments, defining security standards, and overseeing integrations across various Azure services. The role is part-time, requiring three days of work per week in a hybrid setting. It is classified as outside IR35, indicating a favorable tax status for contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and govern secure Azure environments (landing zones, identity, network security)
• Define security standards (Conditional Access, PIM, private endpoints, key management)
• Provide oversight of integrations across Azure services (APIM, Logic Apps, Functions)
• Lead threat modelling, risk assessments, and security design decisions
• Ensure secure integration across Azure, D365 F&O, Dataverse and third-party services

Key Skills:

• Strong Azure architecture experience with a security focus
• Deep knowledge of IAM, network security, and cloud controls
• Experience securing integrations (OAuth, service principals, managed identities, APIs)
• Exposure to D365 F&O / enterprise application security
• Ability to deliver pragmatic, risk-based solutions

Salary (Rate): £600 daily
