Summary: The AWS Architect role involves designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems with a focus on resiliency and scalability. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement large-scale distributed systems with a focus on resiliency, scalability, and observability.
  • Define cloud-native strategies and architectures for enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Create technical design specifications, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation across teams.
  • Lead and mentor teams in Agile delivery models and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Key Skills:

  • 9+ years in Cloud Architecture and Distributed Systems.
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, Containers - EKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Databases: Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, plus experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
  • Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Microservices & Containers: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and containerized solutions.
  • DevOps Tools: Jenkins, GitLab, and integration with various CI/CD tools.
  • Application Design: API-first and event-driven architectures and prior hands-on experience with Kafka eco-system.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Familiarity with tools for logging, metrics, and tracing specially ELK and observe tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to business leaders and influence decision-making.
  • Proven experience working with global, distributed teams in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of data modelling best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) for project tracking and documentation.
  • Ability to own and drive projects end-to-end in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Client ecosystem and platforms for faster onboarding.
  • Understanding of financial services domain, especially credit cards.
  • Knowledge of TOGAF principles and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) preferred.
