Summary: The AWS Architect role involves designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems with a focus on resiliency and scalability. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement large-scale distributed systems with a focus on resiliency, scalability, and observability.
- Define cloud-native strategies and architectures for enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Create technical design specifications, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
- Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation across teams.
- Lead and mentor teams in Agile delivery models and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Key Skills:
- 9+ years in Cloud Architecture and Distributed Systems.
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, Containers - EKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Databases: Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, plus experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
- Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD.
- Microservices & Containers: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and containerized solutions.
- DevOps Tools: Jenkins, GitLab, and integration with various CI/CD tools.
- Application Design: API-first and event-driven architectures and prior hands-on experience with Kafka eco-system.
- Observability & Monitoring: Familiarity with tools for logging, metrics, and tracing specially ELK and observe tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate technical solutions to business leaders and influence decision-making.

- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) for project tracking and documentation.
- Ability to own and drive projects end-to-end in an Agile environment.

- Understanding of financial services domain, especially credit cards.
- Knowledge of TOGAF principles and enterprise architecture frameworks.
