Summary: The Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer role involves managing and building the cloud estate for a customer, with a focus on both internal workloads and off-the-shelf solutions. This position requires collaboration with developers, data engineers, and third-party vendors, providing operational support in a hybrid working environment. The contract is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of extension to 12 months, and is classified as outside IR35. The role is based in Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage the cloud estate, ensuring resilience and reliability.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and third-party vendors.
- Provide reactive and proactive operational support for the cloud environment.
- Manage cloud infrastructure including backups and disaster recovery, specifically in Azure.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD tooling in a GitOps model.
- Engage with technical stakeholders and communicate effectively.
- Work independently with a self-starting and self-learning mindset.
- Support and manage M365 services such as Exchange Online, Microsoft Intune, and SharePoint Online.
Key Skills:
- Extensive hands-on cloud infrastructure management experience, particularly in Azure.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD tooling.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages, such as PowerShell.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Self-starting and self-learning mindset.
- Experience with M365 suite services.
