Summary: Our international client seeks a Cloud and IAM Business Analyst for a 12-month freelance B2B contract, with a strong likelihood of extension. This hybrid role requires on-site presence in Sheffield for three days a week, with two days remote work. The position focuses on IT security, governance, and identity access management (IAM) within cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document IAM processes in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify missing or weak access controls.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Utilize cloud consoles and CLIs for IAM-related tasks.
- Review Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for IAM misconfigurations.
- Evaluate SaaS-based identity integrations.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, Azure AD, and GCP IAM.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes RBAC.
- Strong gap-analysis skills.

Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst (or similar) focused on IT security, governance, or IAM.
- Hands-on experience mapping and documenting IAM processes in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Practical knowledge of AWS IAM (users/roles/policies), Azure AD & RBAC, and GCP IAM (roles/bindings).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes RBAC and how those ties into cloud IAM (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Proven track record analysing SaaS-based identity integrations (e.g., SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning).
- Strong gap-analysis skills, able to pinpoint missing or weak access controls.
- Comfortable using cloud consoles, CLIs (AWS, Azure, GCP and Ali) and reviewing IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) for IAM-related misconfigurations.
- Excellent stakeholder management; able to facilitate cross-functional workshops and drive consensus.
