Summary: The role of Cloud Analyst involves overseeing the planning and engineering of cloud computing applications and services for a Glasgow-based public sector organization. The successful candidates will assess performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of Microsoft Azure infrastructure while collaborating with the Cloud Service Provider. This contract position is expected to last for 9-10 months, requiring strong technical expertise in Azure services and excellent problem-solving skills. Previous experience in the Scottish Public Sector is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning and engineering of cloud computing applications/services.
- Assess performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of Azure services.
- Manage Azure infrastructure, services, fabric, and applications.
- Collaborate with the Cloud Service Provider (CSP).
- Resolve technical issues and ensure efficient utilization of Microsoft Azure.
- Work on large projects with various teams and stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Cloud Analyst/Cloud Engineering roles.
- Technical knowledge of Azure Arm/Bicep Templates and Azure networking services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the Scottish Public Sector is advantageous.
- Formal Azure certifications (AZ-700, AZ-500, AZ-305) are beneficial but not essential.
