Summary: The Cloud Analyst role involves providing comprehensive support for Microsoft Azure Cloud services within a public sector organization in Glasgow. The position requires managing incident queues, mentoring support staff, and ensuring the stability and performance of cloud infrastructure. The role is set until March 2026 and offers flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support on all aspects of the Microsoft Azure Cloud, including Arm/Bicep Templates and Azure networking services.
- Effectively manage the incident and request queues to ensure timely closure in line with service level agreements.
- Conduct ad hoc project work to support the implementation or improvement of Hybrid Cloud technologies.
- Monitor the performance of the Public Cloud and Virtual Private Cloud infrastructure.
- Attend technical meetings and contribute knowledgeably to discussions.
- Provide mentoring, support, and training to 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support staff.
- Improve the availability, reliability, and stability of Microsoft infrastructure components.
- Manage Virtual Machines within the Public Cloud.
- Proactively monitor services to prevent incidents.
- Support security and compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Provide face-to-face support for complex issues requiring investigation.
- Proactively monitor Microsoft platform services for stability and performance.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable work experience equivalent to SCQF level 9 or a degree level education.
- Relevant experience in a similar Senior technical role.
- Experience managing Azure environments, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Networking.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Good understanding of Microsoft M365 components.
- Knowledge of Azure Arm/Bicep Templates and Azure networking services.
