Cloud Administrator - AWS

Summary: The Cloud Administrator - AWS role requires a professional with 5-8 years of experience in cloud AWS administration. The position involves monitoring systems, managing on-premises and AWS environments, and maintaining infrastructure through code. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all systems are monitored and alerts are handled appropriately.
• Administer on-premises and AWS systems, provision, and secure data transfers.
• Maintain server, storage, network, and security infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
• Write and maintain code for the creation of scalable/resilient systems/infrastructure/platform services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments.

Key Skills:

• Prior experience using automation tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, Foreman, Chef, Salt, Puppet).
• Good knowledge of various services and capabilities of cloud computing platforms, ideally AWS.
• Experience maintaining build systems and source code management (e.g., TeamCity / GitLab).
• Knowledge of IP networking, DNS, and firewalling.
• Experience with Python, shell scripts, and command-line tools.
• Knowledge of containerization and related orchestration technologies.
• Demonstrable experience of remediation projects, ideally within a PCI-DSS certified environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with ITSM tools such as Jira and ServiceNow.
