I am currently recruiting on behalf of a British manufacturer of exclusive and beautiful lightweight supercars. They are looking for a Closures CAD Design Engineer (Metal Parts) to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis

Job Description

As Closures CAD Design Engineer (Metal Parts) your main responsibilities are:

  • 5+ years of Automotive Design experience in Closures systems such as Bonnet Systems, Hood, Exterior Doors, Tailgates, Fenders, Spoilers,
  • 5+ years' experience using CATIA V5
  • 3+ years' experience designing metal pressing / stamping systems
  • Knowledge of Exterior methodologies and general requirements (Industry best practice and legislation)
  • Experience in working to requirements and design rules and iterating following CAE / virtual test analysis and feedback.

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • Experience designing aluminium parts
  • High end SUV experience
  • BEV / EV experience
  • Ideally has worked in several closures commodities (e.g. Hood and Doors, Spoilers and Bumpers)
  • Start-up experience.
