Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Directorate for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist secondment in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, supporting Skin Cancer and Sarcoma services at UHS. We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking nurse with strong surgical experience and leadership skills. An interest in complex wounds and surgical oncology is essential. While plastic surgery experience is desirable, full training will be provided, and applicants from all surgical specialties are encouraged. In this varied role, you will support patients throughout their cancer pathway, run nurse-led clinics, manage complex wounds, review inpatients, coordinate care, and facilitate discharges within a multidisciplinary team. This post combines clinical practice, leadership, and service development, including line management responsibilities and staff support. You will join a small, skilled team and benefit from structured training and development opportunities in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
