Summary: This role is for a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Nutritional Support, offered as a fixed-term secondment for 13 months to cover maternity leave at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The position involves providing specialist advice and clinical care related to nutritional support, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals across North Wales. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving nutritional care and supporting the integration of the All Wales Nutrition Pathway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist advice and clinical care on the management of nutritional support.
- Work as part of the Nutrition Support Team (NST) and collaborate with nursing and medical staff.
- Support the integration and maintenance of the All Wales Nutrition Pathway.
- Identify areas for improvement in artificial nutritional support.
- Uphold the values of BCUHB regarding quality and safety in nutritional care.
Key Skills:
- RGN Degree in a relevant subject.
- Experience in developing and implementing improvements in clinical practice.
- Basic conversational ability in Welsh; fluency is desirable.
- Adept IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Competency in NGT insertion and care, wound care, and associated assessments.
