We are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity for an experienced and passionate nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse specialist in bowel cancer screening for Hampshire.
If you have an established track record of working within the screening service and are looking for an opportunity to utilise your development and leadership skills within a well established team then this is the role for you.
The role is to support and develop a nursing team, promote the screening service regionally and uphold the programme standards through audit and change management.
You will work alongside a Programme Manager and a Clinical Director and work within a multi disciplinary team and manage a nursing team across 3 hospital sites within Hampshire.

This is an exciting role that requires the post holder to be responsible for the clinical leadership of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) nursing team within Hampshire. You will also have some involvement in the operational management of the screening programme.
You will need to
- Deliver a high-quality, equitable screening service that adheres to national standards and guidelines while maximising participation rates and positive patient experiences.
- Be responsible for providing highly specialised advice which contributes to the diagnosis, care or education of patients and staff within the bowel cancer screening programme.
- Lead quality assurance activity and specialist BCSP knowledge within the service, evaluating service delivery, identifying areas for improvement and initiate change, working in partnership with the programme manager to meet demand with capacity.
- Develop and maintain robust clinical governance frameworks, driving continuous quality improvement, and foster a culture of excellence within the service.
