Summary: The role of Client / Relationship Manager (Waste / Environmental) involves overseeing client and contract management for a local government’s waste disposal and collection services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake client and contract management for waste collection, disposal, and treatment services.
  • Prepare specifications and contract particulars for service provision and develop performance management systems.
  • Monitor contract performance and provide feedback to the Service Director.
  • Collate, process, and interpret waste statistics for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Health and Safety performance of the Waste Service as required by the Health and Safety Executive.
  • Ensure compliance with permits, licenses, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders for effective waste management.
  • Lead waste-related procurement activities and manage customer service related to waste services.
  • Review fees and charges for waste services and improve customer engagement through digital strategies.
