Traffic Engineering Clerk of Works
We are seeking a dedicated Traffic Engineering Clerk of Works to join a Highways Team on a contract basis. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality highway construction and maintenance works across our network.
In this position, you will:
- Inspect works on site and supervise contractors
- Monitor compliance with specifications, standards, and health & safety requirements
- Ensure all works-planned or reactive-are completed to the required standard
- Identify defects and ensure prompt and appropriate remedial actions are taken
- Provide technical feedback on repairs and workmanship
About You:
We are looking for candidates with experience supervising Traffic, Road Safety, and Highway Engineering schemes. However, we also welcome applications from construction supervisors with relevant technical knowledge and a strong background in quality control and health and safety on site.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, members of the public, contractors, and consultants
