Class 2 LGV Driver

Summary: This role at Driver Hire Southampton is for Class 2 drivers, both experienced and newly qualified, tasked with delivering stationary products to commercial areas in Hampshire. The position is a 12-week temp to perm opportunity, requiring drivers to operate Class 2 vehicles and manage multiple drops per shift. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with health and safety regulations. The role offers a structured workweek with no weekends and the potential for permanent employment after the initial period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver stationary products to commercial areas in Hampshire.
• Operate Class 2 vehicles, including tail lift and pump truck usage.
• Complete around 10-15 drops per shift, starting at 7:00 am.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks.
• Ensure timely completion of all deliveries.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication.
• Understand manual handling and heavy lifting procedures.

Key Skills:

• Full UK Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Previous experience in a multidrop role is beneficial.
• Own transport for commuting is essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good area knowledge of Hampshire.
• Ability to comply with health and safety regulations.

Salary (Rate): £32,000
