Summary: The role of Freelance Project Planner involves supporting a civil engineering contractor on a highways and public realm improvement project in Calderdale for a duration of 70 weeks. The Planner will utilize P6 Primavera software and manage various programmes while attending site meetings as required. Experience in civils, groundworks, and NEC contracts is essential for success in this position. The role offers flexible working arrangements, primarily remote, with occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Using Planning tools such as Primavera
- Reporting to senior management
- Attend site & client meetings with senior management
- Programme control, project monitoring performance duties, whilst ensuring efficient delivery
- Overseeing the production of CL31, CL32, CL62 programmes
- Project involvement from pre-start to handover
Key Skills:
- Proven track record using P6 software
- Experience as Planner on civils / groundworks projects
- NEC3 / NEC4 contracts experience

This reputable contractor are in need of a Freelance Planner / Programmer with civils experience to join their team for a total duration of 70 weeks. The workload will initially support 3 days per week with potential of additional days depending on project need as phases progress.
The project is a highways & public realm improvement scheme and previous experience & knowledge of groundworks, hard landscaping, general civils is crucial to fully understand the detail of work.
The successful Planner will be responsible for Clause 31 & 32 programmes and Clause 62 programmes dealing with constant change. They will use P6 Primavera and have NEC contracts experience.
Please note: there will be a requirement for the successful Planner to attend site potentially once a week. They are able to work from wherever they choose when not required on site.
