Summary: The Civil and Structural Designer role involves producing design deliverables for multi-discipline engineering projects within the Oil & Gas, Construction, and other regulated industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Produce Civil & Structural design deliverables for multi-discipline engineering projects.
- Interpret general arrangement drawings and scopes of work into engineering designs.
- Work on projects across various sectors including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, and Food.
- Develop design deliverables including 3D models, GA drawings, steel detailing, and reinforced concrete detailing.
- Assist in site surveys and produce site survey reports.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Advance Steel for design tasks.
- Ensure compliance with current British/European Standards and Eurocodes.
Key Skills:
- More than 5 years of experience as a Civil and Structural designer in multi-discipline projects.
- Deep knowledge of design software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Advance Steel.
- Sound knowledge of Civil and Structural engineering and design principles.
- HNC/HND in Civil/Structural Engineering (Preferred).
- Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician Qualification (Preferred).
- Ability to produce 3D models and detailed design deliverables.
- Experience with temporary works designs and laser scanning (Preferred).
- Understanding of current British/European Standards and Eurocodes.

Our Client an Engineering company are seeking an Civil Structural Designer for a permanent and contract position in Warrington location . This role is placed within Oil & Gas, Construction or highly regulated industry. We have both contract and staff positions available.
Role
As a Civil and Structural Designer you will be responsible for the production of the Civil & Structural design deliverables within multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects and these projects will range from Concept Design to Execution Design. For Civil & Structural Designer role the projects will be for different sectors (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Food), small and large projects, and greenfield and brownfield. Depending on size and complexity, you may be the responsible Civil and Structural designer for one project or a portfolio of projects. You will Interpret general arrangement drawings and scopes of work, developing them into engineering designs.
Experience
If you have the following profile, we look forward to meeting you:
- More than 5 years of experience as a Civil and Structural designer in multi-discipline projects within an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company in one of the mentioned sectors.
- Deep knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, or similar software, and capable of carrying out designs without supervision.
- Sound knowledge of Civil and Structural engineering and design, as well as other disciplines (EC&I, Mechanical, Piping, and Process).
- HNC / HND in Civil / Structural Engineering (Preferred).
- Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician Qualification (Preferred).
- Ability to produce and develop design deliverables including 3D models, GA drawings, steel detailing, reinforced concrete detailing, and relevant schedules.
- Experience with temporary works designs (Preferred).
- Ability to assist in the delivery of site surveys of existing assets, including the production of site survey reports.
- Experience with laser scanning and the production of detailed models from scans (Preferred).
- Sound understanding of current British / European Standards, Eurocodes, and EN1090, etc.
