Summary: Eram Talent is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation Planning & Traffic Engineering to enhance mobility and safety on roads in Saudi Arabia. The role involves designing, analyzing, and implementing transportation systems, conducting traffic studies, and collaborating with stakeholders. The position requires advanced modeling tools to propose innovative solutions for operational and environmental concerns. The selected candidate will work onsite in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with company representatives and government authorities to address traffic and transportation safety improvements in the Eastern Province.
- Act as a technical lead for various traffic safety engineering-related tasks.
- Oversee work carried out by subordinate members of the engineering group.
- Support and guide work undertaken by group members.
- Review and assist in developing scope-of-works for the company's projects/studies (e.g., Road Safety audit, Traffic Impact study, Temporary Traffic Management, etc.).
- Review and provide initial inputs on design and specifications of existing/proposed roadway schemes utilizing applicable industry standards and guidelines.
- Prepare letters, meeting notes, working papers, technical notes, reports, and technical presentations.
- Enhance Traffic Safety Services Dept. - Engineering group staff's technical capacity by establishing proper training and developing efficient processes for knowledge sharing/transfer.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering.
- Technical proficiency in Highway Design, Transportation Planning & Traffic Safety Studies.
- Familiarity with international standards such as AASHTO-Green Book, HCM, HSM, MUTCD, and related ITE & FHWA guidelines.
- Professional certification & licensing (i.e., PE, PTOE, PTP, RoSPA, or RSP).
- Proficient in traffic modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, HCS).
- Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, policies, and standards.
- Experience in conducting traffic studies and designing signal plans.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
