Summary: The Civil Engineer / Inspector role based in Berkshire involves site-based responsibilities including structural inspections, technical report writing, and design audits. Candidates must have relevant qualifications and experience, including SC clearance eligibility. This is a 12-month rolling contract with competitive pay and additional allowances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out structural inspections.
  • Technical report writing.
  • Design audits of whole or elements of projects.
  • Technical responsibility; Drawing checking.
  • Meeting attendance; Day-to-day running of projects.
  • Keep up to date with developments in civil and structural engineering standards.

Key Skills:

  • Civil Engineering, Structural or Surveying Degree or HNC/HND.
  • Member of a professional institution, ICE or IStructE.
  • SC clearance eligibility or previous holding.
  • 10 years experience on a wide range of projects.
  • 5 years experience in structural inspections/appraisals.
  • Strong experience in civil and structural engineering.
  • Good communication skills and ability to write technical reports.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant design codes.
  • Ability to work in a team and provide guidance and support.

Salary (Rate): 38.5
