Summary: The Civil Engineer / Inspector role is a site-based position in North Wales, requiring a minimum six-month contract. The role involves conducting inspections, technical report writing, and managing day-to-day project operations. Candidates should possess a relevant degree and significant experience in civil engineering, particularly in structural inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections of various structures/works on live construction sites to ensure compliance.
- Technical report writing.
- Design audits of whole or elements of projects.
- Drawing checking/technical responsibility.
- Meeting attendance.
- Day-to-day running of projects.
Key Skills:
- Civil Engineering, Structural or Surveying Degree or HNC/HND.
- Member of a professional institution, ICE or IStructE.
- A strong technical background with demonstrated professional competency in structural engineering.
- 10 years of civil engineering experience on a wide range of projects, with ideally 5 years in structural inspections/appraisals.
- Good communication/stakeholder management skills and ability to write technical reports.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant design codes.
- Ability to work in a team, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.

Civil Engineer / Inspector – North Wales site-based (min 6mth contract)
£34 per hour (outside IR35) + average working week 40hrs Mon-Fri + 1hr travel time paid per day @£34 + overtime + site-based contract work
Civil Engineer / Inspector responsibilities include:

Civil Engineer / Inspector profile:
- Civil Engineering, Structural or Surveying Degree or HNC/HND.
- Member of a professional institution, ICE or IStructE.
- A strong technical background, and the ability to demonstrate professional competency in structural engineering.
- 10yrs civil engineering experience working on a wide range of projects encompassing superstructures, substructures, ideally 5yrs of which is in structural inspections / appraisals.
- Good communication / stakeholder management skills and ability to write technical reports.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant design codes.
- Ability to work in a team, giving guidance and support and training as and when necessary.
