Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design engineer on small to medium size projects, coordinating multi-discipline design teams and client interfaces.
  • Create outline and detailed designs, along with construction-ready documentation.
  • Generate design calculations, reports, drawings, and other deliverables.
  • Provide technical decisions at key design stages for water and wastewater utility projects.
  • Interact with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with contractors, supply chain, and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee or manage design staff and mentor junior team members.
  • Support the coordination of environmental, geotechnical, civil, or other specialist disciplines.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical and industry knowledge.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in civil engineering with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Demonstrable experience in hydraulic design of water pipelines, sewers, and pump stations.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or actively working towards it.
  • Good understanding of CDM regulations and relevant British Standards.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
