Summary: The role of Civil Construction Engineer involves coordinating Civil Engineering activities for a 5-year Converter Station project in Torness, East Lothian. The position requires technical expertise to ensure sustainable design solutions and compliance with engineering standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise within their discipline and inspire project teams to perform, innovate and deliver sustainable design solutions.
- Coordinate design interfaces between the Principal Contractor and design partners through concept and detailed design packages.
- Ensure engineering assurance is undertaken in accordance with the EMP and client requirements.
- Identification and control of engineering design change.
- Preparing scope, schedule, and other technical documents for RFP processes.
- Chair and/or attend relevant governance, technical and progress meetings with client and project stakeholders.
- Ensure the responsibilities under CDM 2015 for Principal Designer are discharged in accordance with the regulations.
- Undertake design reviews of vendor deliverables to check for compliance with requirements, constructability, safety, and temporary works requirements.
- Coordinate technical scope with Engineering, Construction and Procurement functions.
