Summary: The Cisco Network Engineer role in Manchester involves hands-on support for a major on-site deployment, requiring expertise in Cisco networking. Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering on-site installation and bring-up of Cisco network equipment
- Carrying out hardware checks, including power-on self-tests, and arranging replacements where needed
- Verifying cabling and patching to ensure full connectivity across the environment
- Configuring switches and routers, and testing circuits including carrier connections
- Running full end-to-end validation across LAN/WAN, as well as integrated systems such as AV and security
Key Skills:
- Strong Cisco networking background, ideally at CCNP level (routing & switching)
- Proven experience in deployments, migrations, or large-scale rollouts
- Solid troubleshooting ability across physical infrastructure and network layers
- Working knowledge of protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and STP

We're looking for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to support a major on site deployment at our Manchester HQ. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working directly with infrastructure, from installation through to validation and handover.
