Children’s Social Worker Nottingham City Council

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join Nottingham City Council.

Contract details

  • Ongoing temporary contract
  • Initial 3?month placement, with strong likelihood of extension
  • Full time – 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
  • Hybrid working: 2 days per week working from home, 3 days office?based

Pay rates

  • Up to £37.50 per hour (Umbrella)
  • £32.97 PAYE (inclusive)
  • £29.42 PAYE (exclusive)

Role overview

You will be working within a specialist service supporting children with complex disability and health needs. The role involves managing a varied caseload, undertaking statutory assessments, and completing court?related work while working closely with partner agencies.

Essential requirements

  • Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel
  • Experience working with children with complex disabilities and/or health needs and their families
  • Experience in Mental Capacity and the Court of Protection
  • Experience in Child Protection, Children in Care, and court work (Family Court and Court of Protection)
  • Understanding of short breaks and assessing the need for short breaks
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and relevant legislation
