Summary: Warwickshire County Council is seeking experienced Locum Children’s Social Workers to join their Child Protection and Safeguarding Teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children subject to child protection plans, children in need, and those who are looked after.
- Undertake assessments and statutory visits in line with national and local safeguarding procedures.
- Develop and implement robust care plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals.
- Prepare high-quality reports and present evidence in court proceedings where required.
- Contribute to child protection conferences, looked-after reviews, and core group meetings.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, agencies, and families to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
Key Skills:
- Social Work England registration.
- Experienced in child protection, safeguarding, and care proceedings.
- Skilled at building strong respectful relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
- Confident in completing assessments, managing risk, and making evidence-based decisions.
- Organised, resilient, and able to manage a demanding caseload effectively.
