Childcare Paralegal

Summary: The role of Childcare Paralegal involves supporting solicitors in care proceedings within a local authority's legal team in Reading. Key Responsibilities:

• Support solicitors with care proceedings including drafting applications, consent forms, and briefs to counsel.
• Liaise with social workers, experts, and other parties involved in cases.
• Attend advocates meetings and pre-hearing discussions.
• Handle private matters related to adoption and communicate directly with social workers and courts.

Key Skills:

• Strong childcare legal experience, ideally within the public sector.
• Experience with Family Public Law Portal (FPL), Iken, and Caselines.
• Willingness to travel to Reading as required.
