Summary: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead a biotech startup through its Series A fundraising and the pre-clinical/IND development stages. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in securing venture funding and guiding biotech companies through early-stage research and regulatory milestones. The CEO will be responsible for strategic vision, fundraising leadership, and team management to drive the company's growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong network within the biotech industry and a proven track record in advancing drug candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a robust business strategy to achieve Series A funding and advance the therapeutic pipeline.
  • Drive fundraising initiatives, including developing investor materials and pitching to venture capital firms.
  • Guide the progression of drug candidates through pre-clinical studies and ensure compliance with IND submission requirements.
  • Build and mentor a high-caliber team of scientists, regulatory specialists, and operational staff.
  • Engage with investors, board members, and regulatory bodies to align on goals and maintain partnerships.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to optimize capital efficiency.
  • Partner with regulatory teams to craft and execute a strategy for IND submission and interactions with regulators.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience, including 5 years in a C-level position in biotech or life sciences.
