Summary: Join a leading aerospace and defence organisation as a Chemical Process Engineer in Glascoed, where you will contribute to innovative projects in a dynamic environment. This role offers a 12-month contract focused on research, design, and development of production processes. You will be part of a talented team dedicated to maintaining national security through advanced manufacturing. The position requires expertise in handling hazardous chemicals and conducting technical assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop new production processes.
- Plan, design, and execute lab experiments and pilot trials including safety paperwork (including COSHH, SOP and proficient at handling hazardous chemicals).
- Process, analyse, and interpret trial data to draw conclusions for further development.
- Ability to problem solve, adapt, and pivot through the technical challenges of R&D.
Key Skills:
- Experience and competent at handling hazardous chemicals and operating in safe conditions.
- Experience in chemical process design through the entire project lifecycle.
- Experienced with concept, basic, and detailed design of a chemical plant.
- Experience of process hazard assessments and other technical risk assessments (including HAZOP, LOPA, and Hazardous Area Classification).

Rate:
£38.25 per hour inside / Umbrella
The role:
