Summary: The Chassis Project Engineer - Braking Systems - Actuation is responsible for the design, analysis, development, and integration of braking actuation systems, particularly focusing on Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) and stability control. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards. The position is based on a rolling contract and operates in a hybrid working environment. The role is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of braking actuation systems, including hydraulic and electronic components, focusing on ABS and stability control.
- Integrate actuation systems into vehicle braking architecture, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability targets.
- Develop and maintain system requirements, specifications, and documentation for actuation systems and ABS components.
- Ensure the integration of ABS, traction control, and electronic stability control (ESC) systems into the overall vehicle dynamics framework.
- Manage the full lifecycle of braking actuation and ABS systems, from concept to production, including defining milestones, schedules, and deliverables.
- Work with cross-functional teams.
- Continuously monitor system performance and feedback to improve actuation and ABS systems through design iterations and upgrades.
