Summary: The Chartered Building Surveyor role involves delivering effective building surveying functions for the Council's commercial property portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver building surveying functions effectively for the Council's commercial property portfolio.
- Conduct building condition surveys and create a Planned Property Maintenance (PPM) programme.
- Prioritize and execute maintenance works, preparing drawings and work schedules.
- Manage projects of varying complexity, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Compile and analyze data related to commercial property standards and stock investment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, building regulations, and planning requirements.
- React to on-site situations, conducting structural diagnostics and determining remedial works.
- Prepare and manage tender and contract documentation.
- Supervise contractors and tradespersons for various programs.
- Produce progress reports, monitoring contract activities and budget adherence.
- Develop cost-effective methods to improve service delivery.
- Maintain effective liaison with internal and external customers.
