Detailed Description From Employer:

RM Recruit are working with a small Birmingham based charity to recruit am Interim Head of Finance for their management team. This role will see you work closely with budget holders, ensuring robust financial reporting systems are in place and developing reports for the CEO for the charity Board. This role will suit a dedicated interim who can demonstrate a track record of quickly improving processes and growing confidence the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key tasks will include:

  • An end to end review of the entire finance process
  • Review and likely redesign of the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting system in place
  • Roll out of business partnering and budget support to operational managers
  • A likely clean up of general ledger and associated processes

This interim post will have a likely duration of 6 months and will have hybrid working in place. It will be highly advantageous for applicants to have experience in SME charity or not for profit sector settings as to have an awareness of the challenges facing the third sector and the internal relationships that will need to be developed.
