Summary: The Change Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing high-volume, low-risk infrastructure and application changes within a regulated financial services environment. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and operational continuity while managing structured change events. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence twice a week, and involves working night shifts due to the nature of change implementation. The contract is initially for six months, with potential extension until mid-2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute structured change events during defined windows to ensure operational continuity and compliance.
- Produce, validate, and maintain detailed implementation plans and Sequence of Events (SOE) documentation.
- Conduct environment readiness and dependency assessments prior to execution.
- Deliver changes across legacy and target environments, including dual-running, decommissioning, and provisioning activities.
- Represent and support changes in governance forums, managing incident escalations and post-change reviews.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, platform engineering, and cybersecurity teams.
- Drive adoption of a standardized, scalable change delivery model using JIRA and Confluence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in change governance, documentation, and operational processes.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience delivering structured infrastructure or platform changes within the banking/financial services sector.
- Strong stakeholder management and risk-based decision-making skills.
- Experience assessing, escalating, and supporting change-related incidents in production.
- Familiarity with high-volume decommissioning, provisioning, and dependency management.
- Excellent documentation skills for runbooks, change records, and post-event reviews.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence in Agile delivery environments (ideally SAFe).
- Strong understanding of change governance, incident response, SOE planning, and risk assessment.
- Awareness of network flow and application mapping, enterprise firewalls, and hybrid/on-prem/cloud infrastructures.
- Knowledge of legacy system decommissioning, enterprise backup, monitoring, and rollback tooling.

The Project Manager - Change Specialist will play a pivotal role in delivering high-volume, low-risk infrastructure and application changes within a regulated financial services environment. Working within a high-performing Agile delivery team governed by SAFe principles, the specialist will ensure structured, compliant, and timely execution of change events.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute structured change events during defined windows (including overnight and out-of-hours activities) to ensure operational continuity and compliance.
- Produce, validate, and maintain detailed implementation plans and Sequence of Events (SOE) documentation for controlled change delivery.
- Conduct environment readiness and dependency assessments prior to execution.
- Deliver changes across legacy and target environments, including dual-running, decommissioning, and provisioning activities.
- Represent and support changes in governance forums (CCBs, CABs, technical risk committees), managing incident escalations and post-change reviews.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, platform engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure well-governed change processes.
- Drive adoption of a standardised, scalable change delivery model using JIRA and Confluence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in change governance, documentation, and operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- The Project Manager - change implementation specialist must have a minimum of 5 years experience delivering structured infrastructure or platform changes within the banking/financial services sector.
- The change implementation specialist must have strong stakeholder management and risk-based decision-making during live change events.
- Experience assessing, escalating, and supporting change-related incidents in production.
- Familiarity with high-volume decommissioning, provisioning, and dependency management.
- Excellent documentation skills for runbooks, change records, and post-event reviews.
- The change implementation specialist must have hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence in Agile delivery environments (ideally SAFe).
- Strong understanding of change governance, incident response, SOE planning, and risk assessment.
- Awareness of network flow and application mapping, enterprise firewalls (e.g., Checkpoint, F5), and hybrid/on-prem/cloud infrastructures (HP, Dell, Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of legacy system decommissioning, enterprise backup, monitoring, and rollback tooling.
Useful but Not Essential:
- Prior experience in UK retail or commercial banking transformation programmes.
- Exposure to cloud migration or hybrid hosting models.
- Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of ITIL or COBIT (focus on Change, Release, Incident Management).
- Awareness of automation and orchestration platforms.
