Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently travelling to client sites across the UK, helping businesses stay compliant with Fire Door legislation and keeping their people safe
- Carry out detailed Fire Door inspections (22-point check), assessing critical components such as door leaves, frames, seals, hinges, closers, glazing, intumescent strips & signage
- Document & report on defects, specifying required remedial works
- Deliver on-the-day feedback to clients
- Attend technical review meetings as required
Key Skills:
- Level 3 in Fire Door Inspection / NEBOSH Fire certificate / BAFE SP205 accreditation or similar
- Deep understanding of fire safety regulations (Approved Document B, BS 8214)
- Min 3-5yrs experience working in Fire Door Surveying / inspections
- Excellent knowledge of Passive Fire Protection including compartmentation, fire stopping, and door components (leaves, frames, seals, hardware and intumescent strips)
- Skilled in spotting & highlighting defects (damage, gaps, incorrect hardware) which compromise fire resistance
- Ability to read and interpret building plans, fire strategy documents, and risk assessments
- Confident speaking to a range of clients and explaining findings
- Great with tech – comfortable using Microsoft and mobile software
- Organised, punctual, and thorough under pressure
- Full UK driving licence and use of own car

Certified Fire Door Surveyor – UK wide projects £350 per day (outside IR35) + mileage / travel + overnight accommodation (if required) + varied & interesting long-term contract work
Working out from home, ideally, you will be living close to a major motorway route, that will allow you to travel to various sites cross the UK with relative ease.
