Summary: The role of CCIE IT Network Engineer involves working with a prestigious Global Investment Bank to manage and implement network solutions in a capital markets environment. The engineer will focus on network automation, high availability, and security technologies while collaborating with various technical teams. Responsibilities include implementing network-as-code, producing documentation, and acting as a senior escalation point for incidents and changes. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to ensure efficient operations across corporate and trading networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement network-as-code for new infrastructure deployment and upskill the team on automation.
- Build professional relationships and work with global support for efficient communication between corporate and trading networks.
- Produce HLD and LLD documentation with continuous review for accuracy.
- Provide handover into Operations of new implementations with regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Act as a senior escalation point for incidents, requests, and changes.
- Collaborate with strategic technology partners for software release planning and budget submissions.
- Work with market vendors to agree on connectivity details and oversee implementation and testing.
- Ensure proper monitoring and capacity of the global network.
- Plan and oversee work in remote sites, managing remote hands.
- Maintain a close technology watch to bring innovation to markets connectivity and trading application platforms.
Key Skills:
- CCIE qualification preferred or equivalent expertise.
- Experience with Ansible and network automation.
- Experience in highly available latency-sensitive network environments with multiple technologies.
- Ability to capture business requirements and work with technical teams for solutions.
- Experience with market brokers and direct market connectivity.
- Hands-on design and configuration experience with Arista architectures.
- Knowledge of core routing protocols, OSPF and BGP, and IP transmission modes.
- Low-level log and packet analysis experience.
- Strong multitasking capabilities.
