Summary: The CBRN RN Constable role involves supporting the integration of radiation and nuclear detection equipment into policing for major public events as part of the UK's Counter Terrorism Police. This position is a two-year secondment opportunity based at the College of Policing in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, requiring operational deployment across the UK. The role includes responsibilities related to the response to radioactive or nuclear sources and collaboration with various partners in the CBRN landscape. Successful candidates will also participate in a 24/7 on-call duty rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operationally deploy with radiological and nuclear detection equipment within the Protect and Pursue elements of the National Contest Strategy across the UK.
  • Work with host Forces to deploy radiological and nuclear detection architecture into major public events.
  • Support the development of bespoke deployment plans for operational activity.
  • Volunteer for the NCBRNC Duty Officer / RNID On-Call cadre.
