Summary: The role of Category Manager involves overseeing procurement processes within a capital procurement function, focusing on complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated procurement, stakeholder management, and NEC contract forms. This position requires strategic procurement skills and the ability to work across multiple projects in a hybrid working environment. The contract duration is 18 months and falls inside IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing tender packages, conducting tender conferences, developing evaluation criteria, analysing and evaluating proposals.
- Understanding and applying Public Procurement Regulations e.g. PCR 2015, DSPCR 2011, and the Procurement Act 2023.
- Managing pricing arrangements and incentivisation mechanisms e.g. target cost incentive fee.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating NEC forms of contract, including framework agreements.
- Executing strategic procurement initiatives.
- Collaborating in cross-functional teams across multiple projects.
- Managing multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
- Delivering business objectives in line with organisation policies, on time, in full, and within budget.
- Utilising eProcurement systems, particularly Jaggaer and AWARD.
