Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for patients on a suspected cancer pathway.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Liaise with clinical and administrative teams to manage appointments and treatments.
  • Input and manage cancer data for national submissions and audits.
  • Support multi-disciplinary team meetings and ensure data accuracy.
  • Foster relationships between patients and their key workers.
  • Provide cover for other Care Navigators as needed.
  • Review procedures to ensure effective working processes.

Key Skills:

  • Educated to Diploma level or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of national cancer waiting times standards.
  • Experience in data entry and coordination of patient workloads.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in the NHS or relevant health and social care settings.
