Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage major capital projects from feasibility to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality and sustainability standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, design standards, and building control processes, applying industry best practices throughout all project stages.
  • Provide expert advice on the impact of capital developments on operational needs, ensuring alignment with time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external project teams, consultants, and contractors, including procurement and contract management.
  • Oversee financial planning and reporting for capital projects, maintaining accurate budget control and supporting audit and assurance processes.
  • Develop and implement project policies and strategies, contribute to continuous improvement and post-project evaluations.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and manage communication with a wide range of internal and external partners.
  • Chair and participate in technical and user group meetings, managing complex and sensitive project information to support decision-making.

We are actively seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager/Minor works manager to work for an organisation based in Manchester with on an FTC basis until March 2028. This will be working within an Estates Capital Development department for a large organisation.

Position: Capital Project Manager/Minor Works Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary Range: £51,000 per annum for 36 hours a week with great benefits
