Summary: The Capital Projects Manager role involves overseeing the development and implementation of capital management policies and procedures within a reputable organization in Buckinghamshire. The position requires managing various projects ranging from £30K to £3M, ensuring compliance and minimal disruption to services. This temporary role is for a contract length of 3 months with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management, contractor oversight, and technical compliance across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage a range of works including construction, refurbishments and installations
- Deliver projects within a live environment ensuring minimal disruption to day to day services
- Complete pre-inspections to specify the works to issue to the contractors
- Commission and manage delegated Capital projects including work on business case development
- Monitor the contractors completing the works, ensuring they are working to the specification, on time and to the budget
- Project manage the tender process and the works on site, to completion and handover
- Provide technical advice and ensure projects are in line with compliance and statutory legislations
- Prepare drawings, specifications, tender documents and evaluation reports for the projects at hand
- Liaise with the on-site estates departments to ensure a smooth transition of the new facilities
- Create, review and uphold method statements and risk assessments
Key Skills:
- Experience working within a similar role in a commercial environment
- Must have experience managing refurbishment projects
- Able to work on multiple projects at a time
