Summary: The Capital Delivery Manager will be a key member of the Capital Development Team, responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of capital and estate development projects within the Trust. This role requires a confident individual with expertise in building surveying and project delivery, who can effectively communicate with various stakeholders and manage projects from inception to completion. The position is fixed-term for 24 months due to funding and involves acting as the employer's representative for contracted works. The role also emphasizes the importance of diversity and inclusivity within the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage capital projects including new construction and refurbishment from inception to completion.
  • Act as the employer's representative for contracted works using various forms of contract such as NEC, JCT, and D&B.
  • Prepare and write business cases for funding from internal and external sources.
  • Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with planning authorities to prepare and submit planning applications for capital developments.
  • Brief consultants and develop written instructions for them.
  • Communicate with NHS Shared Services including Specialist Estates Services and Procurement Services.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget while representing the Trust positively.
