Summary: An established banking client is looking for a Camunda Technical Consultant to support their digital transformation program. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing business process automation solutions using Camunda BPM, with a hybrid working arrangement based in Central London. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable workflow orchestration. This position is classified as inside IR35 and has a contract duration of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BPMN workflows and DMN decision models using the Camunda platform to support key banking processes.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to translate requirements into scalable automation solutions.
  • Integrate Camunda with microservices and external systems using REST APIs and message brokers (eg, Kafka or similar).
  • Provide technical leadership and best practice guidance on Camunda usage, including performance optimisation and process monitoring.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline setup for workflow deployments and ensure proper documentation and version control.

Key Skills:

  • Proven expertise in Camunda 8 and business process automation, with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot (Data, Integration, Web), and JPA.
  • Solid background in microservice development and integration using REST APIs, EAI patterns, and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Single Page Applications using JavaScript and React JS, combined with knowledge of UI integration with workflow engines.
  • Strong grasp of Domain-Driven Design, software architecture patterns, and best practices for scalable, maintainable codebases.
  • Comfortable working within Agile development environments, using tools such as Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, and Artifactory.
