CADCAM Programmer / CNC Machinist

Summary: The CADCAM Programmer role at a Coventry-based OEM involves working within Design Modelling operations to develop new vehicle concepts, particularly for next-generation electric vehicles. The position requires producing various models using CNC machines and software for NC Toolpaths, while also maintaining equipment to meet production deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

• Produce master milled models from various materials, including clay and foam.
• Use software to create NC Toolpaths for CNC machines.
• Understand model material properties and assist in the manufacture of armatures/models.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Work collaboratively within a design team to meet tight deadlines.

Key Skills:

• Timed Served Apprenticeship with an Engineering background.
• Relevant college qualifications.
• Capability to produce NC Toolpaths on recognized software.
• Experience with 3 and 5 Axis CNC Milling Machines.
• Competent IT user and able to work independently.
• Reliable, flexible, and possess a positive work attitude.
