Summary: The CAD Technician role involves producing detailed technical drawings for modular buildings used in construction sites, supporting a client specializing in rental equipment during a critical period. This contract position offers an immediate start for a 3-month engagement, requiring collaboration with experienced team members and reporting to the Operations Manager. The technician will ensure drawings meet project specifications and comply with relevant regulations. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality CAD drawings based on existing assets.
  • Create and modify dynamic blocks and export stock counts/production lists.
  • Interpret and apply fire safety and emergency lighting regulations in designs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings meet project specifications.
  • Present technical drawings to clients in a clear and professional manner.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD - this is non-negotiable.
  • Strong experience with dynamic blocks and exporting production data.
  • Familiarity with modular buildings - ideally Containex systems.
  • Understanding of construction site layouts, fire safety, and emergency lighting regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and get up to speed quickly in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:We are urgently seeking a skilled CAD Technician to support our client who specialise in rental equipment for construction sites, this role is to support the business during a critical period. This is a contract role with an immediate start, offering a 3-month engagement to allow sufficient time for on boarding and project continuity.You'll be working alongside experienced team members and leaders and you will report to the Operations Manager. The role involves producing detailed technical drawings for site rental products particularly modular buildings, primarily for use on construction sites. These drawings will be presented to clients and used for internal production planning.
