Cad Engineer

Our client is a longstanding M and E and Fitout contractor seeking an experienced and detail:oriented CAD Engineer to join theirr growing team in Wakefield to work on a number of exciting projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in 2D and M and E design to contribute to a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities Duties

As a CAD Engineer, you will be integral to our design process, working closely with project managers and engineers. Your main duties will include:

• Creating and modifying 2D drawings for M and E services, including lighting, power, fire alarms, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems.
• Ensuring all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and project specifications.
• Working collaboratively with project teams to resolve design issues and incorporate changes.
• Conducting site surveys to gather necessary data for accurate drawing creation.
• Maintaining and organizing project drawing files in an efficient and accessible manner.
• Assisting in the preparation of as:built drawings upon project completion.

Skills And Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer, preferably within the M and E or construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for 2D drafting.
• A solid understanding of M and E systems and their design principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high:quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
