Summary: The CAD Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing electrical and control systems for various projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. The role requires proficiency in E-Plan Electric and E-Plan Pro Panel software, along with the ability to produce comprehensive documentation and reports. The position demands strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical and control systems for a range of projects.
- Produce documentation including thermal calculations, safety evaluation reports, and machine/plant layouts.
- Create electrical arrangement drawings, cut-out drawings, multi-line diagrams, and single-line diagrams.
- Provide PLC overviews, terminal strip overviews, terminal diagrams, cable overviews, and cable diagrams.
- Compile parts lists and window macros and plot frames.
Key Skills:
- HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an electrical designer.
- Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including HSE and ISO.
- Strong experience in electrical and control system design using E-Plan Electric and E-Plan Pro Panel software.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and control components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK driver's licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
