Summary: The role of a 2D/3D Designer – CAD involves supporting the development of high-pressure hydrogen systems, focusing on mechanical design and integration within complex industrial environments. The position requires a senior-level designer with extensive experience in creating detailed drawings and integrating technical solutions. The designer will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts and collaborate effectively within a team. This is a contract position based in Seraing, Belgium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and model equipment to meet performance, quality, and cost targets
- Create detailed and general assembly drawings for manufacturing subcontractors
- Integrate technical solutions into client systems, considering environmental constraints
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design tools and workflows
- Support technical project follow-up and participate in design decisions
- Ensure project timelines are respected
- Share best practices and collaborate effectively within the team
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial or technical drawing
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an industrial designer
- Proficiency in AutoCAD tools including Inventor 3D, AutoCAD 2D Mechanical, and AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Experience with SmartPlant 2D and AutoDesk Vault is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and piping
- Experience with high-pressure gas structure modeling is a plus
- Operational English proficiency (minimum B1 level)
- Strong analytical mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Self-motivated, curious, and quality-focused
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Able to handle technical challenges and work under pressure
