Summary: The CAD - Capable Lead Engineering Consultant role is a contract position based in Dunton, Essex, requiring extensive expertise in exterior systems and body components within the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage requests between the engineering department and design studio.
  • Perform complex feasibility analysis and architectural studies independently.
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and present information clearly.
  • Draft timing plans and manage project milestones and deliverables.
  • Create sections and small 3D models using Catia V5 to confirm concept proposals.
  • Track data management and monitor processes for data/parts from engineering and surfacing.
  • Facilitate meetings and manage meeting cadence across multiple teams.

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive technical expertise in exterior systems, Body components and automotive industry
  • Knowledgeable of general vehicle architecture
  • Able to manage request between Engineering department and design studio
  • Able to independently perform complex feasibility analysis and architectural studies
  • Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
  • PC Literate - Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc. (Essential).
  • Can work independently or as part of a group
  • Proactive in work ethic: the candidate should be willing to proactively look for solutions
  • Senior Stakeholder management
  • Status reporting to Chief programme engineers
  • Presentation skills: able to summarise and communicate the right information in the most concise and clear way
