Summary: The CAD - Capable Lead Engineering Consultant role is a contract position based in Dunton, Essex, requiring extensive expertise in exterior systems and body components within the automotive industry. The consultant will manage requests between the engineering department and design studio, perform complex feasibility analyses, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage requests between the engineering department and design studio.
- Perform complex feasibility analysis and architectural studies independently.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and present information clearly.
- Draft timing plans and manage project milestones and deliverables.
- Create sections and small 3D models using Catia V5 to confirm concept proposals.
- Track data management and monitor processes for data/parts from engineering and surfacing.
- Facilitate meetings and manage meeting cadence across multiple teams.

- Extensive technical expertise in exterior systems, Body components and automotive industry
- Knowledgeable of general vehicle architecture

- PC Literate - Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc. (Essential).

- Status reporting to Chief programme engineers
- Presentation skills: able to summarise and communicate the right information in the most concise and clear way

- Experience of Teamcentre
