Summary: The CaaS Engineer role focuses on automating and building products for core infrastructure within the Telecommunication industry. The position requires collaboration with In-Life Operations and engineering teams to deliver solutions aligned with IaaS patterns and security principles. The engineer will also contribute to evolving automated cloud management practices and ensure compliance with the Telecoms Security Act. This is a hybrid role based in Paddington/Reading, requiring occasional in-office presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned to IaaS patterns, security, and networking principles.
• Reinforce consistency across designs and identify areas for improvement, developing solutions that evolve with business direction.
• Work with automation and build teams to develop automation and create an automated BAU change catalogue.
• Ensure deliverables can be built through automation and scale flexibly.
• Build and maintain documentation for designs to enable repeatable use by teams.
• Schedule automated changes into the In Life Operations team based on company objectives and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to create cohesive strategies and roadmaps.
• Foster a customer-focused, data-driven, and experimentation-based environment.
• Engage with internal partners within Telco Cloud.
• Help evolve automated Cloud management practices within Telco Cloud.
