Summary: The CaaS Engineer role focuses on automating and building products for core infrastructure within the telecommunications industry. The position requires collaboration with In-Life Operations and technical teams to enhance software engineering practices. The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Telecoms Security Act while driving a product-focused approach. This is a hybrid role based in Paddington/Reading, requiring occasional in-office presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with IaaS patterns, security, and networking principles.
• Reinforce design consistency and identify areas for improvement while developing solutions that evolve with business direction.
• Collaborate with automation and build teams to create an automated BAU change catalogue.
• Build and maintain documentation for repeatable design usage.
• Schedule automated changes into the In Life Operations team based on company objectives and customer requirements.
• Work with product managers and engineering teams to create cohesive strategies and roadmaps.
• Foster a customer-focused, data-driven, and experimental environment.
• Engage with internal Telco Cloud partners and help evolve automated Cloud management practices.
