Summary: We are looking for a C1 German-speaking Manual Tester with expertise in test case execution, defect management, and software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Jira and ISTQB methodology, ensuring software products meet both business and technical requirements. Occasional travel to Vienna is required as part of the 90% remote working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review business requirements and design documentation for accuracy, completeness, and testability.
- Create, execute, and manage manual test cases, even without detailed documentation.
- Identify, log, and track defects/bugs through to resolution, ensuring clear communication with development teams.
- Record and manage defects using Jira, with retesting after fixes are applied.
- Apply structured testing methodologies and logical approaches to identify functional defects.
- Work independently and raise questions proactively when encountering uncertainties.
Key Skills:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Manual Tester / QA Tester / Software Tester.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification (or higher).
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira for defect logging and management.
- Practical expertise in manual test case creation, execution, and defect resolution.
- At least 2 professional references within the last 36 months as a Test Expert, each with a project scope of at least 100 person-days.
- German language skills (C1+) – fluent written and spoken communication.
